About Me
I’ve been around for a long time and I‘ve done a lot of different things. With degrees in fine arts and music, I’ve taught children and adults, directed a choir, and sung in musical productions. And for several years I worked as a commercial artist. My interest in helping people began in the 60s when I was active in the civil rights movement. Since then I’ve been a counselor, clinical director and program manager in the fields of mental health and substance abuse. I’ve been a boss and I’ve been bossed. I’ve worked in corporate structures and I’ve been an entrepreneur. Through it all I’ve been an artist and a musician. Add to that an instatiable curiousity, a love of learning, and a fascination with solving puzzles, and it’s clear I bring a unique set of skills, knowledge, and a way of looking at the world to the situation that now puzzles you. For more than thirty-five years I’ve used those gifts to help individuals and organizations find creative solutions to their problems. Those same gifts I offer to you. Coaching is a collaboration: two people working together to create something extraordinary. It’s your puzzle to solve and I believe you can and will solve it. I can help speed up the process and make it easier… and even fun. I can point out some pieces you may have overlooked. When you feel stuck I can nudge or encourage you, and I can celebrate with you when all the pieces fall into place. |
